Variational calculation for the doubly excited state ( 2 p 2 ) 3 P e of helium

ABSTRACT

Highly precise variational calculations of nonrelativistic energies of the (2p2)3Pe state of the helium atom are presented. We get an upper bound energy E=0.71050015565678a.u., the lowest yet obtained.
